When will people learn, you make a sex tape and you’re a public figure. it will be leaked. Up until recently I had never heard of the band Lostprophets,let alone the singer Ian Watkins, but based on the name and the lead singer’s haircut, I have a slight feeling that I probably wouldn’t be a big fan. But then again nothing gets publicity like a sex scandal especially when it is concerning an alleged straight man partaking in sexual activities with another guy. Yes it is a big if, but it seems like a video is about to be leaked that involves him, a guy and girl doing things in the bedroom that really shouldn’t be for public eye. Whatever happen to the good old days of what happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom.

Okay so it might be a little thing, but when you think about all the controversies Apple have faced around application censorship ie Grindr, and the direct to audience promise of both Twitter and presumably ping, it does seem a little noticeable. Apparently the company wants to have a slice but not the whole cake in regards to the world’s most out spoken pop star. Check out the censorship below!

Seems Apple doesn’t like to associate too much with political issues, but then I never thought of equality as political, I have always simply thought of it as a human right. In the past we heard rumours that the ex- Grease star was afraid of the Church Of Scientology to expose his sexuality if he ever tried to leave the church, but it looks like that fear can be put out the window. Seems like the National Enquirer has beat them to it, taking it to new heights with the news that his wife of 18 years is completely oblivious to it.

This is at least the second time that the National Enquirer has been busting in on Travolta‘s closet, last time they ran a photo of him lip locked with the family nanny on the steps of a private jet. This time around they’re running a cover story alleging Travolta and porn star Paul Barressi got it on, and that Travolta has been involved in ”lewd sex acts with other men” as part of a “secret gay spa subculture.”

The story  ”John Travolta Caught In Cheating Scandal!,” quotes the You’ll Never Spa in This Town Again (!) memoir written by author Robert Randolph:

“I met John in 1998, after he had married Kelly. I believe the marriage is a total fraud because John is totally into guys and has been having sex with them behind Kelly’s back for years … John Travolta has been cheating on Kelly for years! Throw in the fact that John Travolta and his wife are expecting their first kid since the death of Jett in 2009, this could quickly become one of the controversial stories of 2010. But I have to disagree with Robert Randolph’s remarks, the fact was Tiger Wood’s story was so big because he had bitches all over the place, if you ask me I reckon John would have been smart and covered his tracks a lot better, so even though there is quite a bit of speculation at the moment, it could all end up going no where. Kinda like the old Ricky Martin rumours, but then again look at him now?

I’d hate to think that if there is truth to this, especially if  Kelly is oblivious is to it. I mean think about it wouldn’t you hate to be carrying some one’s baby only to find out they were swinging the other way behind your back?

Well I guess it is only a matter of time before John goes public about the rumours.

A bill allowing same-sex couples to adopt in New South Wales was passed following the addition of an amendment giving religious agencies the right to refuse adoption to same-sex couples.

Here is what The Australian reports:

“The bill, introduced by independent Sydney MP Clover Moore, allows same-sex couples to adopt a child together. Gay couples can already adopt in the ACT and Western Australia. Voting on the issue in NSW was always going to be close and the result was initially unclear as a similar number of MPs filled each side of the parliamentary floor. At the last minute, the doors were unlocked for the dissenting MP and leader of the Nationals Andrew Stoner, who was late because of a problem with the lift. Reintroducing the bill on Wednesday, Ms Moore included an amendment that gives church adoption agencies the right to refuse services to same-sex couples without breaching anti-discrimination laws. She did this ‘against her strong belief’ in the hope it would encourage MPs to support the bill.”

Well it worked because it was approved by a vote of 46 to 44. This is an awesome step forward, so okay religious fundamentalists might still have a decision in people’s lives due to their opinions on a couple’s sexuality, but any step forward is a good step forward right?

This morning in a report in The Daily Telegraph he denied that he accessed porn sites up to 200,000 times.

Lady GaGa is reportedly trying to be ordained in California, now that the state is moving towards legalising gay marriage once more. She stood firmly against Proposition 8, and tweeting:

‘BUBBLE DREAMS FOREVER! FULL EQUALITY! THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!’

A source is telling Heat Magazine that the star has already taken an online course and is set to undertake the full paperwork to officially become an ordained minister. Wow could you imagine the lucky person to be married under Lady GaGa? Holy Shiz what an amazing wedding that would be!

There is an age old stigma that southern state Tasmania is behind the times, these days I find myself actually asking if the rest of the country is actually behind the smallest state of Australia?

Word is Tasmania’s legislative council is set to consider a bill approved by its lower House of parliament that recognizes same-sex unions performed in other areas. Here is what  ABC News is saying:

“Only three of the 25 Members of the House of Assembly – Liberals Rene Hidding, Michael Ferguson and Jacqui Petrusma – voted against the amendment to the Relationships Act. Attorney-General Lara Giddings says the changes will remove discrimination for same-sex couples in registered relationships. ‘This is really a small step, but a significant and important step for those people who have registered or been through a civil union process elsewhere around the world and want us to recognise that relationship as indeed being in existence,’ she said. Gay rights campaigner Rodney Croome has welcomed the bill and says he hopes it puts same-sex marriage back on the agenda.”

The bill will now go before Tasmania’s Legislative Council for approval. Ultimately what this is meaning is the state will recognize civil unions from places such as Canada and New Zealand, but will still not allow the LGBT community of its own state to partake in civil unions themselves. It is only a very small step forward, but a step forward nonetheless!

Come on Australia it is only a matter of time!!!

James Preston, who stars in The Gates, is getting quite a bit of attention due to appearing in a new trailer about James Dean, or should I gay James Dean? It seems to be doing the rounds online this week but no real information on when or where we might able to see it other then it is set for release in 2011.  Titled Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean, the trailer is quite beautiful as is Mr Preston. 2010 has been a very challenging year for the Brisbane Pride Festival. Due to increased costs across the board, including park hire and infrastructure hire, we now find ourselves in a position where we still have outstanding bills and no money to pay them.

So there we have it. I believe the Pride Festival and the march is needed but to hear that it is in this much debt has me worried about it’s future. So I guess it is now time for the LGBT community and friends to see if they can help in any way. I can’t help but question certain people’s involvement with the festival and the fact they would have made a consideral ammount on the day, that I’m left wondering how the budget could have been so over spent. There are quite a few questions as a result of this, that i’m sure people will be wanting answers. Only time will tell if we will get them answered.
