The Vatican really doesn’t like much so it was no surprised when the Pope dissproved of Avatar that the rest of the country would join the bandwagon some how.
The war of choice? Inapproriate movie ratings.
Italian moviegoers are royally ticked atm because James Cameron’s cinematic masterpiece, Avatar, was given an “unrestricted access rating”, meaning anyone could go watch it as well as children.
Now let us just take one moment to think this over, this technically isn’t James Cameron’s fault, so really the fingers should be pointed at bad parenting and the country’s failure to give movies suitable ratings.
Several groups, such as the Italian children’s advocacy organization AGE and parent’s group Moige, are protesting to have the film’s rating increased to exclude children from seeing the movie without adult supervision.
No shit Sherlock! Seriously some people are such douches!
The debate over the movie’s rating in Italy has sparked an inquiry into changing the entire ratings system to reflect the American rating system. With all honesty that wouldn’t be a bad idea. But then this wouldn’t even be a problem if parents actually did their job!!!
What do you think?
