It is okay to exploit in the name of God?

“Do you hear that? He was set free from addictions to homosexuality, heroin, crack cocaine. Anything else?”

Unfortunately for poor Jacob, he was not delivered from the ugly exploitation on YouTube and everywhere else by the International House of Prayer (IHOP).

Now this might be getting picky, but why is it in some so called “Christian testimonies” when they are sharing certain things they have been delivered from ie drugs they use names that not even the users call them, such as “crack cocaine” ie “Crack.” Does seem a lil text book like.

It’s unfortunate how people especially teens who are simply seeking peace of mind fall into these evangelical cults and get trapped into believing that they are doing something good for themselves. The twitching, people screaming in the background, and falling on the ground should be a clue that this is an unhealthy environment for anyone. QIT can only hope Jacob finds a happier path someday.

QIT used to go to church until a pastor he respected told him he couldn’t be gay and be a christian, because there was a demon inside him. Oh yes QIT did try deliverance of this possession through prayer etc, the thing was you can’t be delivered from something that isn’t there!

The spasms, the writhing on the floor and speaking in tongues etc… it’s all part of the story-telling… how much have YOU had to give up, overcome, or sacrifice in order to come to Jesus? Now because of certain influences it becomes a bit of a game that then becomes ”How well can you spin a sympathetic story about your life that ‘moves’ others.”

Now it won’t matter if you fall from grace again and again, it just makes a better story for when you return.  What pisses QIT off, is the fact that they’re exploiting this teenager who has recently been “delivered,” when the fact is all the emotions he is going through is fresh, give the boy two years and see where he is? The fact is, many so called “Christians” prey on people who ultimately are just needing acceptance, then through their misuse of scripture and this misguided conception of love, these people find themselves in a lil fantasy world.

DON’T get QIT wrong, he has  a lot of Christian friends who he loves and respect and the feeling is mutual but there is definitely this faction of “Christians” that are misguiding many just for the sake of numbers and what they claim is God’s work.

Sorry if QIT has offended anyone here, religion is a very touchy subject, but these are just some thoughts that is open to discussion. One thing that has to be said is HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT A SICKNESS THAT NEEDS TO BE HEALED!

Anyone that says, believes or preaches otherwise needs to be delivered and healed themselves!!!!
