I feel I need to take this moment to compliment Jennifer Hawkins’ bravery for appearing nude wearing only makeup and undergoing NO digital enhancements on the cover of the upcoming issue of Marie Claire. The fact is this woman makes a living out of her body and she has definitely put her body on the line showing her faults in the name of charity and contrary to what many are saying I think she needs to be applauded for it.
She works in an industry that is full of judgments and expectations and she has laid her body bare for all to see faults and all. Okay so she might not be the “average” woman, but seriously get over it. The whole point that everyone is missing is the shoot was meant to merely spark conversation and debate on positive body image. Well she has done exactly that with flying colours and I applaud you. You name me how many world renowned models that have bared their all without being digitally enhanced?
Now I have a bone to pick with one bitch in particular, and I proudly use the term bitch because her words have shown that is all she is. Marieke Hardy chose to tweet her scoff at the shoot saying ‘‘I’m glad Marie-Claire put a photo of that fat cow Jennifer Hawkins on their cover to celebrate women’s ‘realness’. LOSE SOME WEIGHT, PORKY.’’

Now understand readers, I class myself as quite average and being gay I find myself surrounded by an abundant of people that I’ll have to be honest are considered by popular thought more attractive then I. At some point I did envy them but I snapped out of it. I want to share a nice little reality for you guys.
Do you know what it is like when someone comes up to you saying they want to be your friend with the sole purpose of screwing you? Then do you know what it is like when you nicely say you’re not interested to have them then scorn you with names like ‘snob” behind your back merely because you won’t sleep with them. Some even go to the extra trouble of spreading detrimental false rumours. You know why some of these more “attractive” people want nothing to do with you? Because you give them no other option!
Just look at what is being said now about Hawkins for baring it all on a cover in the name of charity, now she isn’t average enough?
I have had the pleasure of being friends with what many would consider well above average looking people and I’ve seen the hurt they have had to endure for merely being born that way. I’ve lost count how many times I heard them wishing they could have been born just a little less attractive.
What I find even worse is when people who claim to be gay are judging others for being merely born better looking, and you expect people not to judge you from being born different? Take a good long look at your souls people.
There is that classic saying in Zoolander “it’s not easy being ridiculously good looking” well guys it isn’t easy being ridiculously average either, both have their pros and cons. But rather then judging we should be encouraging self worth and the truth that it comes from within and not out! Stop the comparing and simply start the loving!

What on earth is brave about a lingere/swimsuit model posing naked with no image retouching? She does it on catwalks for a living- there isn't an airbrush effect on the cat walk…. Brave? I think not.

If you want to know what she looks like “untouched” (unlike these photos), do a google image search for “Jennifer Hawkins Secretary” and “Jennifer Hawkins Cheerleader”. You might find that she is actually very average. If someone that average can be “Miss Universe”, anyone can. Ahh the wonders of makeup, fake tan, peroxide, cosmetic surgery and miracle lighting.
